Mreed. In Sanskrit, it means clay.
Not the finished bowl. Not the gallery piece. The raw material — earth before it becomes anything. That is where we start. Every class, every workshop, every session at the wheel begins with the same thing: your hands, wet clay, and nothing else to do.
We run a studio in Delhi. We teach people who have never touched a wheel. We make functional stoneware and terracotta fired in our kiln. We run workshops. And we ship handmade pottery across India to people who want something on their table that was made by a person, not a machine.
We're not here to make perfect things.
We're here to make real ones.

What you can expect here.
No rush.
Sessions run at the pace the clay sets — not a timer. When you're at the wheel, you're not aware of time passing. That's the point.
No skill required.
Most people who walk into Mreed Pottery have never touched a wheel. The ones who've been before were in that position once. You don't need to know anything. Just show up. Ages 14 and above.
What you make is yours.
Single-session participants take their raw pieces home on the day. Course students fire their work through the studio and collect it when it's ready. Either way, you leave with something real.
